The Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA) in Nepal, a globally renowned ecological hotspot, is home to a rich biodiversity and offers a diverse cultural landscape. The region faces challenges of environmental degradation, socio-economic disparity, and pressure from mainstream tourism. This paper explores the role of ecotourism in promoting sustainable development in the ACA. By emphasizing the principles of responsible tourism and community participation, the paper examines how ecotourism contributes to conservation efforts, local livelihoods, and cultural preservation. The research identifies key strategies that integrate environmental conservation with economic benefits for local communities, thus ensuring the long-term sustainability of both natural resources and the tourism sector.
